THE STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN

Every time I got in my car, that smell hit me. I tried car freshener after car freshener, but they all came with scents the manufacturer had already decided on. Too strong, too faint, or just something I didn't want to breathe.

Then I thought: what if I could design a diffuser that holds my own perfume or essential oil? That way I could use the lavender oil I already love — the one sitting on my nightstand.

I started sketching. First, I wanted it to last — something you use again and again, not throw away. I chose wood — it feels premium, natural, and real. But the first version was too big. It sat on the vent and blocked the airflow. So I kept refining the shape, trying new materials. Testing version after version in my own car, until I finally found the balance — small enough not to block the vent, and the scent lasts a long time.

Until one morning I opened the car door and instead of stale air, I smelled my own oil. Quiet. Light. Mine.

That moment was worth every failed version.
